Come discover the secret
In a bid to expose their hideaway, Marchabella Bistro and Café has decided to participate in this year's Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week. "We are relatively new to the restaurant business and I thought it would give our regular customers an opportunity to sample our dishes at a lower cost as well as have other people come out," explains proprietor Margaret Campbell.
Soothing sounds and an orange and red backdrop are the setting at Marchabella Bistro and Café, which makes it the perfect spot for a romantic lunch or candlelight dinner. Located at Mid Spring Plaza across from the Bank of Nova Scotia; it is a little hideaway with an intimate setting. "The experience is different from what others have, and you will always be surprised when you come here," notes Campbell. She explains, "We set up shop just a little over a year ago, and we are all about simple foods that aim to bridge the gap between the five-star restaurants and the corner shops." She continued, "Our menu changes every day, and we offer everything from pasta to salmon to panini. We also have our Sunday brunch every last Sunday of each month."
For this year's Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week, customers can enjoy their almond-encrusted salmon in spicy Scotch bonnet sauce and Hennessy barbecued chicken with Mediterranean apricots.
"We try to keep our prices affordable and we offer take out as well. So if it's a three or four course meal, it can be taken out as well and that includes salad, soup, and pasta," Campbell explains. So make Marchabella your stop for something different during this year's Restaurant Week.
