There is a new addition to the Everybody's Pharmacy and Deli franchise in Cross Roads. Everybody's Café is now opened and ready to serve in style.

The outside gazebos were something to look forward to, an element that General Manager Stephen Watson said was considered to take their patrons away from the everyday office feel.

The small and cosy venue located in Caledonia Business Centre offers mainly fish and fried chicken dishes for guests.

"We wanted to give people options. So we are offering an express-style menu with mainly chicken and fish. We also wanted to build on the franchise and capacity of the deli next door," said Watson.

Watson stated that they are not worried about the proximity to the deli which is located in Everybody's Pharmacy, which is also located in Cross Roads and just across the road.

"No, I don't think that this will necessarily hinder business from the deli. Cross Roads is a budding business area and people want food options, so no. The deli is doing well but people sometimes want a change," said Watson.

He mentioned that the menu is also vastly different between the two. The deli focuses on the traditional lunch menu.

The lunch café which is opened between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday already has a store favourite.

"A big attraction is our brown stewed fish and, of course, you can't escape the appeal of the fried chicken," Watson declared.

The rustic food spot that you can see is still in the beginning stages has been having steady business since its opening last June.

"Business is OK. It is still in its beginning stages but we see the potential, and with what we have seen so far it is definitely worth the effort," Watson told Food.

Some of the dishes on the menu include steamed fillet fish, brown stewed fish, sliced fish and escovitch sliced fish, served with fries or bammy.

Watson says they are expecting the same success as the previous members of the group, Everybody's Pharmacy which has been around for the past 10 years, and the deli which has been around for five.

Everybody's Café is located at 15 Caledonia Ave.
