Life is more than sex, money
Steve Lyston, Contributor
Each time there is a generational shift within the earth the youth always come under attack! Everything comes against the youth. Past generations have failed the youth, and their main recommendations are to engage in immorality or to immerse themselves in drugs!
Every young person must recognise that they must make decisions that will help them progress rather than hinder them!
The key to progress and an extended life is the word honour! Honour your parents (regardless of their status), honour God, follow instructions - morning, noon or night. Your parents are qualified to teach you, regardless of their academic qualifications!
Youth, you are under authority and this is the first government to which you are exposed. The government of the family is designed to be an imitation of the government of God.
When we see the youth not giving honour to the government of family, it is a reflection of the nation's response to the government of God; it means the nation is not honouring God, either. Breakdown of the family, government is a reflection of the breakdown of the government of God in a nation, also.
receiving deliverance
Man cannot bring deliverance to creation unless he is himself delivered. When man falls, it affects creation, and all the negative things affecting creation right now falls right back to man. Man must first change if we want to experience global change.
Youth, don't make permanent decisions based on your temporary situation. Don't allow your emotions to lead you. Value your virtues!
Place value on your virginity. Remember, sex is a God-given gift that allows us to experience, as God did, the creation of life and the joy that comes with birthing another human being. All improper sexual activities are seen as an affront to God and lowering of human dignity.
Youth, don't let anybody give you money so that you can be an experimental guinea pig! Study history! See the past mistakes made by others. Under-stand that many out there are looking out for themselves and want to use you as a platform, without regard for what happens to or becomes of you!
Youth, be wise!
Youth! Stay away from drugs, guns and marijuana! Think about what you are doing and how it will affect your future - because you have a future. Many who will want to tell you that these things are OK would never tell that to their own children, but because you are not their children, they tell you want they want you to hear. Don't believe the hype!
No tattoos
Stay away from tattoos. Tattoos are not of God, and they are permanent! When things and circumstances change, you can't remove them. Some of you tattoo the names of your boyfriend or girlfriend on yourself and when the relationship is over, you can't remove it. Then, when it's time to marry, you live to regret getting the tattoo in the first place. You are not an animal for branding. Your value is greater.
Youth, get an education. You don't need to have two, three or four children now. Wait and complete your education. No one can take your education from you once you have it. Don't allow yourself to be robbed of something so valuable.
Youth! Come off the Insta-gram and get a plan. Upload a solid education because it is going to require dedication, and there is no greater frustration than a man without a plan and life gone wrong.
The same people you are sexting with are the same ones who will ignore you on the street when they have achieved and you have not. And they are not going to take you home to 'mama'.
Youth! Recognise that the ones who encourage you to lower your values and your value, only want the prize without the package. You are a complete deal and God made you priceless. Don't lower your values or your standards.
fame and fortune
There are many out there who walk in fame and fortune and they want to be a big influence in your lives. But they are often one way before you and another when no one is looking. Beware of the deception.
Youth! Develop a good healthy relationship with God and let Jesus be the centre of your lives. Have good manners and respect the elderly; these things will bring you far in life. Help those who need help without looking for something in return. Take care of those younger than you and look out for their best interests, too. Remember that what you do today will affect your tomorrow! Let it be positive.
