Jamaican model and beauty pageant title holder Kerrie Baylis, who was crowned Miss Jamaica Universe 2013 and represented her country at the Miss Universe 2013 pageant, has been added to the model pool for Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) Fashion Week 2014.

Baylis is an investment banker who holds a bachelor's degree in law from the University of Surrey with a passion for modelling, fashion, the arts, and entertainment.

She is the fourth woman in history to take the Miss Jamaica World and Miss Universe Jamaica double. While competing at the Miss Universe 2013 pageant in Moscow, Russia, she was one of 27 (out of the 86) contestants chosen to model for world-renowned Lebanese designer Tony Ward's Couture Fashion Show at Mercedes-Benz Russian Fashion Week.

Brimming with excitement, Baylis exclaimed: "I am extremely excited for TCI Fashion Week. It will be my first time in the Turks and Caicos, and I really can't wait for the experience. When I was invited by the producer and the team, I jumped at the chance to be a part of the first-ever TCI Fashion Week!"

THRILLED

She added: "I know they are pulling out all the stops to make TCI Fashion Week an unbelievable event. I am thrilled to see the fashion industry growing across the Caribbean, and even more to be a part of it. I hope all the residents and visitors of Turks and Caicos come out to see and support talent that is being produced and showcased by the designers, models, and entertainers."

Standing at 5'10", Baylis has put her height and good looks not only to pageants, but also modelling. To name a few, she has featured in Russia's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Caribbean Fashion Week, Mission Catwalk, The Collection Moda fashion showcase, Campari poster girl, and a campaign for Syiim Swimwear, while still occasionally gracing the runway for various prominent local Jamaican designers such as Lubica and Keneea Linton. She was recently asked to be the face of Shankara Natural Skin Care line, where she is to feature in all major ad campaigns later this year, and showcased in the launch of MAC Cosmetics' 2014 Spring Collection.

TCI Fashion Week 2014 will take place from March 26 to 29, with a fashion party at Zanzi Bar and Restaurant on Friday, March 28, hosted by TCI's Bianca Harvey, featuring DJ Shakes and Prime DJs; and a Designers' Grand Runway Fashion Show on Saturday, March 29, at Brayton Hall, hosted by America's Next Top Model Bianca Golden, featuring Miss Universe Turks and Caicos Snwazna Adams, Miss Universe Jamaica Kerrie Baylis, and supermodel Sessilee Lopez.
