10 things you didn't know about Romae Gordon

Romae Gordon is an accomplished international model who worked in London, New York and South Africa throughout her career.

She is now the fashion director of Pulse, producers of Caribbean Fashionweek. Gordon also produces and hosts a number of TV shows,including Ready for CFW, and The Caribbean Model Search.  The former model also manages the Pulse Model Agency, the Caribbean's long-standing model talent powerhouse which discovers and develops the region's supermodels for the international market.

With modelling and fashion now under her belt as roles that she has taken on and conquered, she is on to the next motherhood.  Gordon continues to make her mark in the fashion world, but today, Outlook would like to share 10 things not known about Romae Gordon.
1. Played rugby in college - yes - she was a fly half, but the fear of losing her teeth caused her to give up the sport.

2. Speaks French and studied French cinema and culture at the Universite de Paris (The Sorbonne).

3. Lived and travelled through several Ghanaian villages teaching English for an entire summer.

4. Graduated at the top of her college class and was recruited to work in finance in Hong Kong.

5. Was the curator of an art gallery.

6. As head of an independent organisation that controls the most glamorous sport on earth, she thinks FIFA boss, Sepp Blatter has the most enviable job on the planet.

7. Climbed to the summit of the Mayan ruins of Xunantunich in Belize at eight months' pregnant.

8. Braved two 30-foot scuba dives off the coast of Durban, South Africa, although she has never taken a diving course. And, of all the places, she has travelled to, her favourite beach spot is Pigeon Island off the coast of Old Harbour Bay, where she was born.

9. Is a huge Arsenal fan and has gone to two of the world's major sporting events: the World Cup and the Olympics.

10. Is an excellent cook.
