Stacy-Ann Hemmings-Wallace and her husband, Oneil, were recently given the royal treatment at the Tamarind Indian Cuisine restaurant in Orchid Village Plaza when they collected their winnings of dinner for two at Tessanne Chin's favourite restaurant.

Wallace was the winner of The Gleaner's raffle that took place at the official homecoming concert for Chin at the waterfront in downtown Kingston on January 12.

Hemmings-Wallace and her husband certainly enjoyed the rock-star treatment as they shared a quiet evening together.

The occasion was also to celebrate the couple's sixth wedding anniversary. The couple told Outlook that they chose the date because it was the perfect thing to do for their anniversary celebrations this year.

After arriving at the restaurant in style, courtesy of Stewart Motors, Hemmings-Wallace gushed that she felt like a rock star arriving at the venue, greeted by cameras and the warmth of the staff at the restaurant.

"I feel good. I did it not knowing that I was going to be the one to win, and I arrived like a rock star."

For dinner, the two opted to share an appetiser of shrimp balchao - a spicy sweet-and-sour shrimp dish. For the main course, she chose the delicious fish Singapori, consisting of fish fillet with coconut and flavoured with lemon grass, while her husband chose the sweet chilli prawns (sweet and spicy) with sides of buttered naan, topped off by dessert of red velvet cake and cheesecake.
