WESTERN BUREAU:

Having cleared her name and now back 'on track', Olympian Veronica Campbell-Brown celebrated her latest victory on Friday, March 14, at the home of legal luminary, former Prime Minister P.J. Patterson. The ultimate host, Patterson feted an intimate dinner and reception in honour of the athlete at his Shortwood Road home in Kingston.

The invitation list included a renowned group from the legal circles, Campbell-Brown's family, best friend Georgiana Junor-Watson, and long-standing P.J. supporters.

While the former prime minister has mastered the art of winning hard-to-crack cases, his taste in food and beverage is as impeccable as his style in music. The man who defended Campbell-Brown's reputation selected culinary expert extraordinaire Lorraine Fung to prepare the tastefully done spread presented to his guests.

Thankful

When it was time to speak, like a true gentleman, he gave the floor to Campbell-Brown, who had no intention of rehashing her challenges of the last year. "It's not a night for speeches. I want to thank Mr Patterson and the entire legal team for the huge help you gave me by giving me the justice that I deserve," the Olympian stated, admitting that she kept a level head in all that was happening around her. "I couldn't have done it without such a supportive husband, who saw every tear I shed," she stated, adding how blessed she was to have people who are caring and loving.

In the midst of the 'Thanksgiving' sat her husband, Omar Brown, gushing with pride, and her manager, Claude Bryan. Indeed, Veronica Campbell-Brown is a fighter who is ready to take on the world.
