Special Mother's Day menu at Mongoose Jamaica

Mothers are in for a special treat this Mother's Day as Mongoose Jamaica Restaurant in Ocho Rios presents a menu with dishes all named for mothers.

At the top of the list is Mom's Best Dressed Chicken Breast, thanks to a little help from Best Dressed Chicken.

"Mom's Best Dressed Chicken Breast is tender chicken breast seasoned to perfection, stuffed with spinach, red bell peppers, and white cheddar cheese, breaded, then baked to perfection and served in a bed of tomato ragu sauce," explained proprietor Lesbert 'Paul' Thomas.

Other items on the menu named for mothers include Nine Months of Joy, a fish fillet dish topped with nine perfectly seasoned shrimps simmered in a rich white wine and parmesan cheese sauce.

Then there is Mama's Love, a chicken dish; Mother's Tender Touch, a tenderloin steak; and Mama's Vegetables.

Appetisers include Mother's Delight, which is vegetable or chicken spring roll, while soups include Mama's Special, a combination of local vegetables seasoned with local herbs, simmered to mom's satisfaction.

For those who want to dance, there will be an oldies after-dinner party starting at 10:30, featuring DJ Jabba and DJ Ian.
