Supreme Ventures' 'Inna Mi Draws' ad insensitive

THE EDITOR, Sir:

On Wednesday morning, May 21, I heard a new Pick 3 advertisement, which is one of the most distasteful I have heard in a long time.

The man says to the woman that he wants to "get inna de draws early", which, as a woman, I find extremely offensive.

The couple continue with light banter about what they can win, etc. But that does little to mitigate the damage already done.

This shows a lack of respect for women in general. And Supreme Ventures, its advertising agency and all parties involved in the production of this ad should be ashamed of themselves.

We already have enough problems in this country with promiscuity, sexual abuse and music that promotes violence against women. We don't need corporate Jamaica to add insult to injury by seeking cheap laughs at the expense of women.
