Lennox Ballah et al
It is fitting that the late Lennox Ballah, the Trinidad and Tobago diplomat who played a major role in negotiations to establish the International Seabed Authority (ISA), is honoured for his effort in the 20th year of the launch of the organisation.
Unfortunately, a monument to Mr Ballah, unveiled last week, is at the Trinidad and Tobago High Commission in St Andrew rather than at the Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown Kingston where the ISA holds its sessions, or at a building recognised as a permanent headquarters of the ISA. We hope that will be rectified in time - sooner rather than later.
