Grenada is to receive a $6 million grant from China in the form of aid.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Grenada’s Prime Minister Tillman Thomas have signed a memorandum of understanding for the grant.
The leaders agreed to a number of measures including the removal of visa restrictions for persons holding diplomatic and official passports issued by Grenada.
The agreement also involves Chinese assistance in the maintenance of Grenada’s National Stadium.
The stadium maintenance covers a one-year period and allows for seven Chinese technicians to visit Grenada to repair equipment and provide the required parts.
