The United Nations commission set up to look into the assassination of former premier Benazir Bhutto has begun its probe.
The commission will submit its report to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon within six months.
According to a Foreign Office spokesman a 3-member UN commission will arrive in Pakistan in the third week of July to conduct further investigations.
Last February, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon announced the formation of the commission, headed by Chile’s UN Ambassador Heraldo Munoz, and Indonesia’s former attorney general Marzuki Dar Usman.
Bhutto was killed on December 27, 2007 while campaigning ahead of elections which were due the next month.
