Jamaica out of Volleyball qualifiers

Jamaica will face The Bahamas later this afternoon in their final Pool I (EYE) game of the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation Women’s World Championship qualifying tournament being played in Puerto Rico.



The match is of academic interest as Jamaica have lost both their games are out of contention for the single place in the Final Round of qualifiers to the 2010 Women’s World Championships.



The Jamaicans lost 25-18, 25-16, 25-9 to hosts Puerto Rico yesterday following defeat to Canada in their opening game on Tuesday.



The Bahamas were beaten 25-12, 25-4, 25-9 by Canada in the other Pool I (EYE) match yesterday.



Meanwhile, Canada and Puerto Rico will also be in action later this afternoon. They will clash for the single ticket to the Final Round of 2010 World Championship.
