US president to address Ghanaian Parliament

US President Barack Obama is scheduled to address the parliament of Ghana this Saturday.
The event forms part the president’s first visit to a sub-Saharan African country since he took office in January.
President Obama is expected to discuss good governance, civil society, democracy and development.
Obama said he chose Ghana as his first destination in the region because he sees it as a model for democracy in Africa.
President Obama will arrive in the capital of Accra tomorrow night, where he and his wife will meet Ghanaian President John Atta Mills.
This meeting will mark the start off the president’s 24 hour visit that has been highly anticipated by the Ghanaian people.
