St Kitts GG faces imprisonment
St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas has accused the opposition People\'s Action Movement of trying to prevent general elections in the twin-island federation.
He’s also warning that the country\'s Governor General could be imprisoned as a result of the party’s actions.
The latest accusations come in the wake of two injunctions filed for and granted to the Opposition.
The injunctions prevent the government from making changes to the electoral boundaries, as recommended in the Boundaries Commission Report.
The most recent injunction names the Governor General Sir Cuthbert Sebastian, Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs Dennis Merchant and other key officials.
The report was presented to the Prime Minister and the Governor General hours before the injunction.
