The world’s fastest man Usain Bolt turned in another superb performance to win the men’s 100 metres on a wet track in a meet record 9.79 seconds at the Areva Meeting in Paris a short while ago.

The Beijing Olympic triple gold medallist was well ahead of Daniel Bailey of Antigua, who clocked 9.91. Bolt’s Jamaican teammate Yohan Blake was third in a personal-best 9.93.

The women’s 100 metres went to double Beijing Olympic medallist Kerron Stewart of Jamaica in 10.99. As a result of the victory Stewart remains in the chase for a share of the US$1 million Golden League jackpot.

Aleen Bailey of Jamaica was third in 11.26.
