TCL Fourth Round Up
Jamaica are on course to post a substantial first innings lead over Windward Islands on today’s second day of the their fourth round TCL Group West Indies Under-19 three-day match at the Jamaica Broilers Group Oval.
The host country, which has already bagged first innings points, will resume this morning on 185-4, a lead of 54 runs, with Courtney Allen on 36.
Brian Clark has so far top scored with 70. Garth Garvey chipped in with 35 and John Campbell scored 33.
Windward Islands were bowled out for 131 on yesterday’s first day against the bowling of Akeem Dewar 4- 29 and Patrick Harty 4-41.
Hubert Joseph was the leading batsman for Windward Islands with 40.
Over at JAMALCO, Defending champions Barbados, replying to Guyana’s first innings score of 169, will resume this morning on 83-5.
And over at Chedwin Park, Trinidad and Tobago closed yesterday’s first day on 54-2 replying to Leeward Islands 174.
T&T lead the six-team standings with 30 points, 6 ahead of joint second place Jamaica and Leeward Islands on 24. They are followed by Barbados on 19, Guyana on 16 and Windward Islands on 4.
