A group of 35 people identified as supporters of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez have attacked an opposition TV channel Globovision.

Globovision, which has been highly critical of President Chavez, is under several investigations that could result in it being taken off air.

In what has been described as an attack on free speech, the government has closed 34 stations for irregularities such as breach of the rules and allowing their licenses to expire.
