T & T Minister concerned about crime

Trinidad & Tobago’s Tourism Minister Joseph Ross is raising concern about the negative impact of crime on the tourism product in the twin island republic.



He said the government is trying to ensure that adequate security systems are in place to rein in criminals.



The tourism minister is also seeking to assure visitors to the island, that enforcement agencies will use the full force of the law to apprehend the perpetrator responsible for the recent brutal attack on a British couple.



He said the national security minister, Martin Joseph is planning to establish a police unit in Tobago to deal specifically with tourism.
