Disaster officials in the Eastern Caribbean say plans have been put in place to safeguard lives and property as the sub-region prepares for the passage of two weather systems.

Forecasters have projected that tropical depression Ana and Tropical Strom Bill will impact weather conditions in the Eastern Caribbean.

Officials say even though Ana has lost some of its strength, it could carry up to six inches of rainfall in some places.
