The lawyer representing ex-billionaire Sir Allen Stanford says the Texan financier is still hospitalized and will undergo tests to determine if there is blockage of veins or arteries in his heart.
Sir Allen, who is accused of a seven billion dollar fraud, was hospitalized in Texas with a racing pulse last week, hours before he was due in federal court in Houston for a hearing.
The 59-year-old is alleged by US prosecutors to have scammed investors through the sale of fraudulent certificates of deposit issued by his offshore bank in Antigua.
His lawyer says he’s also expected to undergo angioplasty or have a heart catheter inserted.
