Emergency crews optimistic about California fire

Emergency crews in California say they’re optimistic they can control an intense wildfire that has been burning since last week north of Los Angeles.
The blaze has spread over 190 square miles destroying 53 buildings and threatening 12,000 more causing damage already estimated at US$13 million.
Two firefighters died on Sunday after their vehicle was overrun by flames.
Some 3,600 personnel have been battling the blaze, which broke out in the Angeles National Forest and has spread to Los Angeles\'s northern suburbs.
More than 10,000 residents have since fled the flames.
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has declared a state of emergency and urged people to comply with evacuation orders.
