Today marks eight years since the 9/11 attacks.
New Yorkers are to observe the eighth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Centre with a ceremony at Ground Zero.
That is the site where the twin towers stood.
The ceremony is to remember those who died in the co-ordinated attacks on September 11, 2001.
On that day hijacked airliners were flown into buildings in New York and Washington, killed nearly 3,000 people.
The area is still a building site despite plans for a shrine, a museum, and five new skyscrapers.
