Bolt confirms for World Athletics final

Triple Olympic and world champion Usain Bolt is among 19 Jamaicans confirmed to participate at this weekend’s World Athletics Final in Thessaloniki, Greece.



Bolt, who set world records in both the 100 and 200 metres at last month\'s world championships in Berlin, will only run in the longer of the two races.



Bolt will run on Sunday and will face off with American Wallace Spearmon.



Sprint rivals Jamaican Asafa Powell, the former world record holder and American Tyson Gay will run against each other in the 100 metres tomorrow.



The 100 metres also features Jamaican Michael Frater.



Other Jamaicans invited to compete are World Champion 100 metre hurdles gold medallist Brigitte Foster Hylton, Olympic and World Champion 400 metre hurdles gold medallist Melaine Walker and Olympic and World Champion 100 metre winner Shell-Ann Fraser.



The winners in each event will receive $30,000. A world record will be worth an extra $100,000.
