Ricky Ponting leads Australia to victory

Ricky Ponting hit 126 from 109 balls today at Trent Bridge to give Australia a four-wicket win and a 5-0 lead over hosts England in the teams\' one-day international series.



Although England reached their highest total in five matches with 299 all out from 50 overs, Ponting smashed 14 fours and three sixes to lead Australia to 302 for 6 with 10 balls remaining.



Michael Clarke chipped in with 52 and opener Shane Watson scored 36.



Bowling for England, Stuart Broad ended with two for 57 off nine overs, while Tim Bresnan had two for 72 off 10 overs.



Earlier, Eoin Morgan top scored for England with 58 off 41 balls, while Joe Denly hit 45, Matt Prior 37, skipper Andrew Strauss 35 and Owais Shaw 31.



Mitchell Johnson, Shane Watson and Nathan Hauritz ended with two wickets a piece.
