Flu outbreak in St. Lucia

The ministries of Health and Education in St Lucia are now investigating an outbreak of a flu-like illness at a secondary school in the north of the island.



A number of students from one class at the school reported to classes with flu-like symptoms.



Officials say all students involved have since been treated and advised to remain home for at least one week.



They say while, there is no confirmation of H1N1 influenza the pattern of the outbreak fits those which have been noticed in previous H1N1 Influenza outbreaks.
