Trinidad & Tobago signed off on their place in the finals of the Caribbean Football Union, CFU, Under-20 women’s competition, when they hammered St. Lucia 5-nil in their final Group-B match last night at the Marvin Lee Stadium in Trinidad.

The T&T Under-20 women won the two-match series 16-1 on aggregate, following their 11-1 demolition of the St. Lucians two days earlier at the same venue.

The young female Soca Warriors will now join Jamaica, St. Kitts & Nevis, and Cuba in the finals that will be contested from November 18 to 22 in T&T.

The CFU Under-20 women’s competition is the first step for regional teams eyeing one of CONCACAF’s three places in the Under-20 World Cup from July 13 to August 1 next year in Germany.

The top three finishers in the CFU finals will advance to the CONCACAF Under-20 competition, where they will face Canada, Guatemala, Mexico, and the United States, as well as another qualifier from Central America.
