The Dominica government has criticised the slow pace at which the European Commission provides financial assistance to the island.
Speaking at a mid-term review meeting of the 10th European Development Fund yesterday, Energy Minister Charles Savarin said the government is concerned about the rate of disbursement of the budgetary support.
Mr Savarin said the delay in providing the promised funds to Dominica would have an impact on the country’s ability to address its financial problems.
The energy minister wants the fund to do what is necessary to address the delays.
