St. Lucia Prison officers protest

St Lucia\'s Home Affairs Ministry says it’s taking the necessary steps to prevent acts of sabotage and uncalled for disruption of the country\'s prison services.



The island’s prison officers reportedly began a sick out last week to protest the return of a former prison boss to head the facility.



Officials say there was an attempt to disrupt the water supply to the prison, with the intention of causing dissention among prison inmates through an induced water crisis.
