St Georges, Portmore United slapped with heavy fines

St Georges Sports Club and Portmore United were each fined $100,000 by the Jamaica Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee for missile throwing incidents at their home base.



St Georges Sports Club was fined after a spectator threw a bottle towards the match officials during their Under-21 game against visitors Sporting Academy at Lynch Park in Portland on October 12.



Portmore United Football Club was fined following a missile throwing incident, during a Digicel Premier League game against visitors Waterhouse at Ferdie Neita Park on October 18.



A bottle was thrown at the referee after he awarded a penalty.



Coaches Bradley Stewart of Premiership team Rivoli United and Perry Bartley of Boys’ Town’s Under-21 were both fined $5000 each for verbally abusing referees.
