Barbados, T&T face off in first semis
The first semi-final of the rain-plagued West Indies Cricket Board President’s Cup will take place today with defending champions Trinidad and Tobago facing Barbados at the Guyana National Stadium.
Rain caused no results in seven of the last eight games and the weather forecast from the Timehri Meteorological Office has rain in the forecast for today.
T&T began their President’s Cup campaign with an emphatic 90-run win against Jamaica before earning points from washed out matches against the Windward Islands and Combined Campuses and Colleges to top Zone ‘B’.
Barbados advanced to the semis following a win, a washed out game and a loss to Zone ‘B’ winners Guyana.
The winner of today’s match will advance to Thursday’s final against the winners of tomorrow’s second semi-final between hosts Guyana and Combined Campuses and Colleges, at the same venue.
