English clubs Manchester United and Chelsea both scored late yesterday to clinch places in the knockout round of the Champions League, along with Bordeaux of France and FC Porto of Portugal.
United were trailing CSKA Moscow of Russia 3-1 with 6 minutes left, but Paul Scholes and Antonio Valencia scored to give last season\'s runner-up the point they needed to advance.
Didier Drogba scored in the 82nd and 88th to put visitors Chelsea 2-1 up against Atletico Madrid of Spain. However, the 2008 finalist conceded an injury time goal to Sergio Aguero and drew 2-2.
Bordeaux won 2-0 at Bayern Munich, while FC Porto\'s 1-0 win at APOEL Nicosia means they advance alongside Chelsea and eliminates the other Group D sides.
AC Milan of Italy and Real Madrid of Spain still have qualification to play for following their 1-1 draw in Italy.
Meanwhile, Lyon will put the tournament\'s last perfect record on the line today when they host a Liverpool side desperate for victory.
In other key games today, Arsenal host AZ Alkmaar and Inter Milan are at Dynamo Kiev.
