daCosta Cup competition resumes this afternoon
The final set of games in the inter-zone round of the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel daCosta Cup competition will take place this afternoon with newly crowned Ben Francis Knockout champions Glenmuir High needing 1 point to qualify for the quarter-final round.
Glenmuir will tackle out of contention Bog Walk in the first game of a double header at JAMALCO, starting at 1:00 p.m.
Glenmuir need a point to top Group 5 and book their quarterfinal spot.
Over in Group 1, defending champions St James High and Frome Technical are locked on 4 points each in the rush for group honours.
St James will face William Knibb at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay, starting at 1:00, while at 3:00 Frome Technical will play Manning’s at Frome Sports Club.
An exciting contest looms in Group 3 where leaders Spaldings High, on 6 points, will battle second place Clarendon College, 4 points, at Kirkvine for group honours.
Spalding High need a draw to qualify for the quarter final round.
