Jamaicans off to international tournament

The prestigious Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis Championship, begins today in Bradenton, Florida.



The competition will include five of Jamaica’s male junior players.



The group is being led by 17-year-old Brandon Burke, who is currently ranked at number 113 on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Junior Rankings.



Burke has been accepted into the main draw of the highly competitive 18 and Under Division, which is a Grade one event on the ITF Worldwide Junior Circuit.



He will be accompanied by 14-year-olds Daniel Harris and Ryan Simms, 13-year-old Simon Levy and 11-year-old Andrew Bicknell.



The Eddie Herr Junior Tournament is widely recognized as one of the premier junior competitions in the world.
