Increase in UK cruise bookings

Travel industry officials in Britain said there\'s been an increase in cruise bookings for the Caribbean, as a result of the hype surrounding the launch of the world\'s biggest cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas.



Travel Weekly magazine quotes one booking manager as saying he expected at least ten Britons among passengers on each cruise, attracted by the ship\'s features.



Royal Caribbean\'s new Oasis of the Seas is the largest, widest, tallest, and most expensive cruise ship afloat.



The US$1.4 billion ship has 16 passenger decks and carries 6,292 passengers plus 2,165 crew members.
