The Grenada government says it has been forced to postpone the presentation of next month\'s budget, due to a lack of funding for capital projects.

Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Mike Sylvester, says the budget is now due to be presented in January because the government could only fund less than half of what the ministries had put forward.

Mr Sylvester told a budget consultation that requests have been submitted for $300 million Eastern Caribbean dollars to fund projects.

But he says the government has only been able to provide a capital expenditure of $128.5 million.
