Banana farmers in St. Lucia are expressing uncertainty about the sale of their produce.

The farmers said exporting company, Wibdeco advised them that as of this month, they would no longer be allowed to sell their crops through the St. Lucia Banana Corporation (SLBC).

According to the Wibdeco, the SLBC is not certified under the fair trade label.

The SLBC has been granted a temporary court injunction preventing Wibdeco from ending its contract with the Corporation.
