Fast bowling all-rounder, Andre Russell produced another fine display to put David Bernard Jr.’s XI in pole position against Tamar Lambert’s XI, entering today\'s final day of the second trial match at Melbourne Oval.

Showing good timing and efficiency, the 21-year-old Russell, who has been in and out of the national team since making his debut as a teenager in 2006, made a top score of 85 as Bernard Jr. XI, replying to Lambert XI’s first innings score of 182, were dismissed for 473.

Facing a huge deficit of 291, Lambert XI will resume on 70 for 1 when play starts at 10, still 221 runs in arrears.

Danza Hyatt on 43 and homeboy Donovan Pagon on 13 will resume batting after first time invitee, Zeniffe Fowler was dismissed for 7.
