The Copenhagen talks on climate change have begun with Africa, the Caribbean and other small islands keen to see an agreement that reflects their vulnerability to the variation in weather patterns.
The two weeks of talks are aimed at agreeing a new deal on climate change.
The United Nations conference opened with an environmental film from Danish children.
New pledges on emission cuts by the United States, India and China have raised hopes that delegates will be able to reach a deal.
Grenadian Ambassador, Dessima Williams said the Caribbean and other developing countries are taking the business of tackling climate change very seriously.
