Arnett assistant coach slapped with $5000 fine
Arnett Gardens’ Assistant Coach, Ian Barnett was slapped with a $5,000 fine and given a one-match suspension by the Jamaica Football Federation’s, (JFF), Disciplinary Committee.
Barnett was summoned before the disciplinary committee for verbally abusing the referee at the end of the JFF National Under-21 League match between Arnett Gardens and Harbour View at the Anthony Spaulding Complex on November 22.
Boys’ Town utility player, Fabian Watkins was also summoned before the committee and fined. He was slapped with a $4,000 fine and received a four-match suspension.
It was reported that Watkins hit an opponent with his elbow during a Digicel Premier League encounter between Harbour View and Boys’ Town at Harbour View Stadium on November 22.
The August Town trio of Aphas Bernard, Jermaine Simpson and Mark Grant, along with Tivoli Gardens Rupert Murray were each fined $1,000. They were each given a one-match suspension for bad conduct.
