Skipping Sue for Titania Trophy

Published:Friday | December 18, 2009 | 5:29 PM

Two trophies are up for grab this afternoon at Caymanas Park as the 2009 racing season fast approaches its close.

The main races are the Titania Trophy, run in honour of the 1974 Derby and Oaks winner, over 11 metres and the Paul Newman Memorial over a mile.

Fourteen horses are down to contest The Titania Trophy including ante-post favourite SKIPPING SUE, which continues to work well at exercise. SKIPPING SUE will be ridden by claiming apprentice Richard Mairs for trainer Eraldo Fullerton.

Meanwhile, a field of six will line up for the Paul Memorial Cup. ROYAL MAJESTY with title chasing jockey Paul Francis aboard looks the one to beat.

Post time on the 11-race card is 12 noon.
