Netball Australia has confirmed a three-match series against Caribbean powerhouse Jamaica in August 2010 as warm-up for the Commonwealth Games in India next October.
Netball Australia said on its web site today that the association would be “putting the final touches on their Commonwealth Games preparations” with matches against the Jamaicans on August 8, 11 and 15.
Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls, ranked fourth in the world, are in the same pool as World Number One Australia for the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
The Test matches between Australia and Jamaica are booked for Melbourne August 8, Sydney August 11 and the Gold Coast August 15.
The Jamaicans will tackle New Zealand’s Silver Ferns in a two-match series later in August.
