Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh in opener
Tilakaratne Dilshan smashed 104 off 122 balls to lead Sri Lanka to a comfortable win over Bangladesh today in the opening match of the limited-overs tri-nation series being played in Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka successfully chased down the victory target of 261 with 7 wickets and 31 balls to spare at Dhaka\'s Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Man of the match, Dilshan overcame a leg cramp and used a runner to hit his sixth one-day century, striking 12 boundaries in the process.
He also shared a 148-run second wicket stand with captain Kumar Sangakkara 74 off 73 balls after opening partner Upul Tharanga fell for 14.
Earlier, Mohammad Ashraful hit 75 to lift Bangladesh to 260 for 7.
Ashraful hit 6 boundaries in his 94-ball knock to help Bangladesh recover from 74 for 4 following a mini collapse.
Suranga Lakmal and Suraj Randiv were the most successful bowlers for Sri Lanka with 2 wickets each.
Sri Lanka next play India tomorrow in the second match of the tournament.
