Jamaica closing in on victory against Leewards
Champions Jamaica are closing in on victory against Leeward Islands in their second round West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) four-day match at Warner Park in St Kitts.
The Leeward Islands, trailing Jamaica by 191 runs on first innings, were struggling on 167 for six in their second innings at lunch on today’s final day match.
Leeward Islands, who resumed this morning on 62 for two, need another 24 runs to make Jamaica bat a second time.
Runako Morton, who was 42 overnight, has so far top scored for Leeward Islands, with 102 not out.
Odean Brown has taken four for 63.
Scores in the game so far are, Leeward Islands 188 and 167 for six and Jamaica 379 for eight declared.
Over at Grove Park, Combined Campuses and Colleges, trailing Barbados by 88 on first innings, reached 106 for five at lunch.
Scores in that match are, Combined Campuses and Colleges 213 and 106 for five and Barbados 301.
