India lead against Bangladesh
Gautam Gambhir smashed an unbeaten 47 off 56 balls after spinner Amit Mishra grabbed 3 quick wickets today to put India in a comfortable position in the weather-disrupted first test against hosts Bangladesh.
At stumps on the third day, India were 122 for 1, an overall lead of 123 runs.
Bangladesh, who resumed this morning on 59 for 3, were bowled out for 242, one run short of India’s total.
Mohammad Mahmudullah top scored for Bangladesh with 69, while Mushfiqur Rahim supported with 44.
Bowling for India, Zaheer Khan finished with 3 for 54 and Amit Mishra got 3 for 65.
India, batting a second time, have only lost the wicket of stand-in Captain, Virender Sehwag for 45.
Sehwag fell to Shakib Al Hasan after hitting 4 boundaries and one six in his 58-ball knock.
