Greenwich Town, Boy’s Town draw 2-2
Major League strugglers Greenwich Town staged a spirited comeback to hold Premier League contenders Boys’ Town to a 2-2 draw in their first-leg quarterfinal match in the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association/Claro Jackie Bell Knockout competition yesterday.
The game was played at Tinson Pen.
Ricardo Monroe scored for Greenwich Town in the 38th and 67th minutes, while Dean Thompson 59th minute and Jamiel Hardware 64th minute were on target for Boys’ Town.
The other first-leg quarterfinal match between Arnett Gardens and August Town ended in a goalless draw.
The competition continues with two games this afternoon. The match-ups are Cavalier against Waterhouse at The Spring Complex, starting at 3:00 and Tivoli facing Harbour View at Edward Seaga Sports Complex, beginning at 5:00.
