Reggae Girls face tough USA team

Jamaica’s Under-20 female football team will face the United States in their final round CONCACAF Under-20 World Cup qualifiers today in Guatemala.



The Jamaica, United States match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 Jamaica time and is the opening of two Group ‘B’ games.



The second game features Trinidad and Tobago against Mexico.



Following today’s encounter, the Jamaicans will tackle Mexico on Saturday and then play their final match on Monday against Trinidad and Tobago.



Group ‘A’ consists of hosts Guatemala, Canada, Cuba and Costa Rica and only three of the eight teams will qualify for the FIFA World Cup set for Germany in July of this year.



The group winners will qualify automatically while the third team will be decided by a playoff between the second-placed teams from the two groups.



Canada defeated Costa Rica 1-0 in the opening game of the group on Tuesday.
