Grenadian Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) advocating for the rights of children, say the island is falling short of its obligations.
In a report presented to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, the NGOs said much work has to be done in the areas of legislative implementation and the collection of data on child rights issues.
A family court and a Juvenile Correction Centre are among developments these groups want to see put in place.
The NGOs credit the government with making strides in the area of ensuring that children have access to education and health care.
