Water emergency in St Lucia

St Lucian authorities are preparing to declare a water emergency, as the island grapples with drought like conditions affecting several parts of the Caribbean.
The state-owned Water & Sewerage Company said they’re also considering importing water from Dominica, as well as obtaining desalination equipment.
The water shortage is impacting the ability of the country\'s fire service to fight fires.
The St Lucia Fire Service has been forced to respond to almost 20 bush fires since last weekend.
