Harbour View remain top of Premier League

Champions Tivoli Gardens and Harbour View have moved away from third place Waterhouse after yesterday’s round of matches in the crucial third round of the Digicel Premier League.



Both recorded comfortable home victories, with Harbour View securing a 2-nil triumph over bottom place Portmore United at Harbour View Stadium to remain top of the table.



Kevin Bryan and Andre Fagon scored for the ‘Stars of the East’, who have climbed to 57 points, three ahead of Tivoli Gardens who hammered Boys’ Town 4-1 at Edward Seaga Stadium.



Waterhouse, 43 points, are 14 points behind leaders Harbour View following a 1-all draw against Arnett Gardens at Drewsland Stadium.



Kemar Thomas gave Waterhouse the lead early in the second half, but Newton Sterling equalized for Arnett Gardens with seven minutes remaining.



In other games, Humble Lions scored a 4-1 victory over Rivoli United at Effortville Community Centre in Clarendon; St George’s edged Sporting Central Academy 1-nil at Lynch Park in Portland and Village United beat August Town 1-love at Elliston Wakeland Centre in Trelawny.
